Seagate 3tb backup plus driver

Hello,
My Seagate completely stopped I have 3 additional 3 tb drives that work fine. all of them are connected to USB 2.0 on different computers. Any thoughts on why it would completely quit?

All hard drives fail eventually, it's just a fact of life unfortunately, and external hard drives are known to be less reliable than internal units, the weak point often being the SATA/USB bridge chip inside the enclosure. I've had two external Seagate's and a Maxtor fail in less than 6 months recently - I don't use those two brands anymore as they seem to fail in greater numbers than other brands.

If the bridge chip has failed, you can try extracting the drive and putting it into a different enclosure.
