What's the point of a mSATA SSD?? Will primary slot SSD be fine?? Tags: SSD Laptops Storage Last response: January 16, 2013 5:29 AM in Storage Share abeaty1 January 15, 2013 11:30:55 PM Hey, gents. Looking into buying a new laptop. What is the point of getting a mSATA SSD? Why wouldn't I just buy a SSD and put it in my PRIMARY drive slot and load OS on that? I will be loading Windows 8, Battlefield 3, and maybe one other game. THAT'S IT. Will a Crucial M4 128GB be plenty for this?? Should I do a SSD drive in the mSATA slot? If so...why?? What's the point? To load ONLY the OS on the mSATA SSD? Thanks! If you buy just a normal notebook you can go for a standard 2.5" SSD. m 0 l Can't find your answer ? Ask ! Publish Related resources SolvedmSATA Cache drive with SSD primary drive?
