Currently have an I5-750=upgrade to Sandy Ridge?

Just wondering. I think the new processors use an 1156 socket. I was going to get the I7-2600K. Should I get a major performance boost?

It's a new socket 1155. You will need a new motherboard.

the differences in some video encoding/decoding times are substantial, however, for a gaming rig, I'd stand pat for now...
