You can use windows build in disk management, on the desktop, right click My computer and the select "manage"--"disk management", right click C and then select shrink partition, after you complete shrink partition, right click on the released unallocated space select create partition. Or you can use 3rd party partition software like Partition Wizard or AOMEI Partition Assistant.
Hi, I just got a thinkpad t430 with windows 8. It has only a C disk, i would like to divide it into at least 2 discks. Is there anyone know how to do it？please show me how to do it in detail. thanks.
The snap-in disk mangement enable you partition hard drive, in your situation you could right-click the system partition select "shrink volume" then follow the wizard to realsae some unallocated space, then you could create new partition on the disk. Or you could use other partition software which offers you this basic operation. Below is a short video abou this, hope it could help you. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eJ8dEhmIYE4
