Looking to buy a new SSD torn between the 2, can anyone tell me if these drives are pretty much the same and maybe tell me which one I should lean towards?

Kingston HyperX 3K SH103S3/120G 2.5" 120GB
Samsung 840-PRO 128GB

I noticed that the read/write speeds on the 840-pro 128 is slower than the 840-pro 256GB not sure why that is but I only want a 120 - 128 SSD drive I don't care about the price difference I just want the best 120-128GB SSD out there

The performance will be very similar. So while not a direct comparison, you get the idea of how they compare. I recommend the Samsung.

If it were me, I would go with the Samsung. I have 2 256GB 840 Pros (in 2 systems) and couldn't be happier with the performance. Samsung generally makes excellent products. I (and many others) recommend them as a company often.

I the case of these 2, from a performance standpoint, I also believe the Samsung will perform better of the 2. An example of the performance can be found here:

Look at the benchmarks where both models you are considering are listed.

Thank you,
I have noticed that the bench marks are for the larger SSD drives im looking at the smaller 120-128 drives The 256GB PRO and the 240GB hyper For some reason, the larger you go the better marks they are getting not sure if it has to do with the larger cache. do you think that te smaller drives will have similar bench marks or will the pro come out on top
