Concerning the Asus P5VDC-MX motherboard: Is there a fix that permits the use of 4GB of memory: 2 x 2GB sticks? In brief, a total of 2GB is not sufficient to run Windows 7 or even Windows XP optimally. The computer is always writing to disk due to a lack of physical memory: 2GB is the current maximum. I would rather not switch and learn a different operating system like Linus and also likely encounter problems with some of my existing software programs and hardware that is designed for Windows.
