M4a785t-m dvi-d not working

I recently bought a barebones kit that has the Asus M4A785T-M mobo with ATI Radeon HD4200 integrated graphics. IT's supposed to support dual monitors either VGA with HDMI or VGA with the DVI-D. I need it to use the DVI-D but I am not having any luck getting it to connect. The VGA works fine.

Anybody got any ideas????

What kind (make/model) of monitor are you trying to connect via DVI? A DVI-D port will not work with an analog monitor.

Also, what version of ATI's video drivers are you using for what operating system?

If you have a supported monitor, it may just be a matter of updating your video drivers (10.7 is the current version for Windows) to fix your problem.
