400W Corsair PSU be able to power this?

This is currently my build that i am using:

Phenom II 555 BE X4
GTX 460
3GB Ram
400W PSU
ASUS M4A785-M Motherboard

I was wondering if my computer would still run fine if I upgraded my CPU to a Phenom II 965 X4?

I've unlocked it, but i checked some benchmarks and the new processor is by far better

What? It's only 0.2 GHz faster. You can easily up the multiplier a bit and make it even faster. Change it from 16 to 17 and you have a 965 but you can go even higher.

One of my systems has an OC'd Q9550, 4 GB RAM, a GTX260 - a card with similar power requirements to yours, a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P motherboard, 3 hard drives and an optical, and a Soundblaster card all powered by a Corsair 750TX.

Running 3 instances of Prime95 to load the CPU and 3DMark06 to load the GPU, it pulls 375 watts from the wall as measured by my Kill-a-Watt meter. Figuring 80% efficiency, the system pulls 300 watts from the PSU.

Its the same cpu when unlocked, I got 3.7ghz out of mine 200x18.5 with 0.025v cpu voltage increase.

Your already drawing more power if its unlocked ao your PSU should be fine.
