I would like to ask if I could use 4 pin power connector instead of 8pin power connector?

Have a look in your MB manual to just make sure, but yes it usually works, but they do recommend to use a 8 pin connector.

I had a Foxconn C51XEM2AA-8EKRS2H which required an 8 pin connector, but in the manual it said I can connect a 4 pin, but 8 pin is recommended. I used it with the 4 pin for about 2 years and never had a problem.

If you are unsure phone Asus and ask them. They will be able to give you an answer.
