I have a Samsung 830 120gb.

Also, are system restore points stored on the Swap file? Mine increased by 4% today and the only thing that changed, to my knowledge, was an automatic restore point after an update.

It purely depends on how many writes you make to the drive and it's total free space, low free space will cause a lot of cells to lose a lot of endurance quickly as the wear leveling algoritms can't work well with low free space situations

I have seen this from my own experience. A Typical consumer SSD is expected to be replace every 3 or so years, where as Enterprise drives are built with SLC or eMLC chips to increase their life as they are expected to be in service for 5yrs+
