PSU for the 4870

I just bought a 4870 from newegg for an ultra cheap gaming rig that I'm fixing together. What power supply is needed to run this card? My other specs are

Athlon II X3 440
seagate barracuda 320gb
4gb ddr2 800 ram
antec 900 case w/ 4 fans.
asus 785g mobo

How much amps is needed to run the 4870? (14,15,18 on the 12v rail?) I was thinking of buying: http://www.compusa.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3287208&CatId=1078 but I don't think it is enough.

Thanks

  1. The 450VX will have plenty of power for a 4870, its more powerful than many 500W units.
  2. You will be fine since your going with that Corsair, its a good brand and a good build even for them.
  3. Ok thanks. I heard this card takes a lot of power and I got a little worried

It does take up quite a bit of power, and you will be pushing it. But you only have one hard drive, aand a handfull of fans. You'll be fine.
