My external hard disk becomes faulty during data recovery using revo data recovery software when it suddently fell down. When i plug in it is shown in my computer but it didnot be formated . I use acronis software, by using it becomes offline .
The external hard drive's read/write heads may have "crashed" into the data platters when it fell down - this results in drive failure and the drive can no longer be used. That's why it cannot be formatted.
