A friend of mine gave me an old computer with old hardware, almost everything is outdated. I was wondering is it fine for me to get a new CPU and Motherboard (possibly Sandy Bridge), HDD, and PSU now, and replace the case and GPU in Fall? I'm worried about temps the most. I don't want anything to overheat and end up with dead hardware.

Thanks in advance,

Ya sure,

CPU: AMD Athlon XP @ 1.93

MOBO: KT600. Didn't note any brand. Though, the bus clock is 167MH, Socket A

HDD: WD 160gb

RAM: Has two 512MB RAM cards, giving it a total of 1024MB of Memory

GPU: Radeon 7900/7500 Series card, I don't know why it gives me two types.

PSU: Raidmax 430w

OS: Windows XP Pro 32-bit

Hmm, never thought about a quality 400w. Any recommendations?

Plus, the 7500 card, if I am correct, used to be or is referred to the ATI All-In-Wonder Graphics Adapter.
