Upgradeable processors

I have a hp s7320n with a mPGA479 socket what faster processor can i upgrade to?

Use cpuz, a free download to list your current cpu specs. If it's a celeron, then you can upgrade to a pentium. Your board has an Intel i915GV chipset. It's too old for core2 duo derivatives. Only 2 socket 479 cpus are listed on ebay right now. The faster one has a current bid of $50. At this price point, it may not be worth it. You might be better off changing motherboards and acquiring a new windows coa if you still have your original windows operating system that came with your system. The $50 ebay cpu only runs at 1.86 GHTz, which may not be much faster than your old cpu.
