Which CPU will not be bottleneck by4850?

Hi everybody.
in some games My athlon4800 was bottleneck by my hd4850 because I am running crysis and dirt2 smoothly but NFS HPS and COD black ops is not.
my monitor has a 1024*1280 res. By now I just wanna play games in this res and don't wanna replace all my PC until next year. What will be the lowest CPU that can help me and will not bottleneck by hd4850? do you think a athlon2 x2 @3.2ghz can be enough? or at least need a aathlon2 x4? or maybe a phenom x3?
please note the lowest cpu that you think will be enough just for 1 year.
rams: 2*1gb kingston hyperX 800mhz.
or maybe my rams were bottleneck?

Get an AMD Athlon64 6000+ (3.0GHz X2) AM2.

Yes an Athlon II X2 240 would be plenty for that card. What's your budget?

My budget is not important because by now i just want to replace CPU and spend the rest of the year and then ,revolution!!
So I just dont want to waste lot of money because next year maybe a bulldozer's year.

This is good but I'm afraid of it's lower l2 cash.:1.5mb
But a athlon2 x2 has 2mb l2 cash.
And as I found out today's games are using up to 2 cores .
SO...

Hmm then the X3 440 would pay off more. The bigger cache doesn't necessarily increase performance in games, a better architecture and a higher clock would make a lot more difference. (and the number of cores)

What about Phenom 2 X2 ?
I saw in benchmarks it is better for gaming.
11% better than athlon2 X3.

Better get the Athlon II X4 645 if you're considering that CPU.
