Which SSD is the most Reliable

I have had a ssd that died long time ago, need one now again

The Intel 520 SERIES 240GB SATA III its a pretty good one , or if u want samsung 830 or 840 pro is a good choice as well. The more capacity the better is . this ones are awesome ones

Curcial M4, Plextor M3/M5 - No to Curcial M5

Note: Intel 520 is great for reliability, But not a lover of the Sandforce 22xx Controller.

Currently have:
3 Crucial M4s
3 Samsung 830's
2 Agility IIIs - Ugh
Just ordered the Samsung 840 pro.

Performance wise, Very little Real Life, Day-2-Day difference so My recommendations are based more on Reliability/least User problems.

Price/Performace, my recommendation; the Samsung 830 and the Crucial M4. You can often find these two on sale for a good price @ newegg.

Yes, I prefer these two over the Intel 520.

What size are you looking for. Both of the above two are typically around 11-120 bucks for the 128 gi version and sale price is around $100.
The 256 gig version go on sale for around 170->180 Bucks.
The Samsung 830 may get a little scarce downstream. Better than the lower end 840, But cheaper than the 840 pro

When asking price/performance, For desktop if money is the concern then go for 830. For a laptop, I'd probably go 840 pro as power consumption can be factored in. 840 Pro has the lowest power consumtion.

Which one is LEAST reliable- OCZ.

Most reliable brands- Samsung, Crucial, Intel, Plextor.

You should do more specific research on newegg.com. Look at the models that you might be interested in and look at the customer feedback ratings on their site. I've found some of the older models from the brands above that had very good ratings, I've seen some newer models that weren't so good. I've seen some OCZ models where 1/3 or more owners gave them a rating of 1 or 2 stars. You probably don't want to buy one of those. A slow SSD is still pretty fast. A broken SSD is going to be really slow.

if your still in search i would strongly recommend the Samsung 850 pro... its faster than the 840 and it has twice warranty with 10 years.
