ive been reading a lot and some people say that the SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series MZ-7PD256BW 2.5" 256GB SATA III is better than the 520 Series Cherryville SSDSC2CW240A3K5 2.5" 240GB SATA III. Some other that intel is . So , is what do u guys think is the best ssd in terms of price/efficiency . Note taht the intel one is 10 $ hitting 260 $ while the samsung 250$.
Other option can be the SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC256B/WW 2.5" 256GB SATA III as it is 205 $ or maybe the Intel 330 Series 240 gb because its really cheap compared to the others > 190$.

Both are good. Just buy the one you like....

in all likelyhood any difference in performance would be imperceptible.
if you're putting it in a laptop then i'd say let idle power draw be the deciding factor (in which case the 840 pro wins out at 0.03W)

The one that is better is the one that you can buy for less money. Performance is exceptional in both.

I had Intel G2 drives and was tossing up going 520s but in the end bought 330s because they were cheaper. i've raided them and the speed is unreal. so I doubt you would notice much between 2 high end ssds in real use.

Intel is a little better, thought the 840 is still new it has a few problems but the new firmware seems to have fixed most of them. I would recommend the OCZ Vector however.

Either way both are excellent

just consider other things other than performance since you won't really notice is short of benchmarks.

price
warranty
issues
power

I've owned a Samsung 840 Pro, 2 Corsair Force GT and a OCZ Agility 4. I have to say the 840 Pro outperforms those other SSD without a doubt.

The 840 Pro outperforms the Intel 520 in benchmarks. However, Intel outperforms Samsung in terms of quality.

In the real world, would you notice a difference between the 520 and 330 (assuming casual user)? I doubt it. That's why I chose the 330.

My vote is the Intel 330 240gb.
