Need help -- Gaming PC - $1200

I'm trying to build a computer, and I would like you opinion on current config.

* I'm mainly building this computer for gaming, movies, and casual surfing.
* I play shooting games such as WF Enemy Territory, MW 1&2, BC 2.
* I will be doing mild OC and crossfire with my current ATI 4850
* My budget is 1,200 USD

Country of origin: Mass, US
Parts not required: mouse, speakers, OS, monitor (23" 1080p), 650W Acer PSU

CPU: Intel Core i7-950 Bloomfield 3.06GHz -- $295
MB: ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 -- $230
FAN: Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme Universal CPU Cooler -- $63
CASE: XION XON-CBX01-RD CyborGX Gaming Black -- $65
KB: Logitech G110 Black -- $65

Combo: $396
VC: XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850
RAM: OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600

my total so far is $1,113.93 with S&H -- All of these prices are from Newegg

If you have something different in mind, please do tell, but I definitely wants to get a better processor (i7 930, 950 or AMD Phenom II X6).

side notes:
I have 400GB SATA II hard drive, but I would like SSD if it can fit in my budget.

Thanks in advance!

More about need gaming 1200
  1. i know double posting is not allowed but hoping someone would help me out.
  2. The i-5 750/760 is no worse in gaming than the i-7. Also you can crossfire a HD 4850 with another 4850. But if you get a HD 5870 you don't need CF.

    Intel Core i5-760 + ASUS P7P55D-E
    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 (or the one above)
    PowerColor PCS+ AX5870

You can get another HDD, Samsung Spinpoint F3 500G or 1T.

    Is this your PSU?
