Damned fan, any ideas?

Hello again,

I have a fan mounted to the mid-rear of my CiT 1008 case that vibrates alot and is really loud. I notice that their are only 2 rivets in it and I've improvised with a rivet gun and some rubber bands, also blue-tac As crazy as it sounds, if you were to see how much it helps, it's not too so. It's still generating alot of vibrations however and still very loud. I can't remove the fan unless I were to use wire cutters and I don't want that!

Any ideas?

Firmly push the centre of the fan so it sits tightly back on its bearing,
you have to push fairly hard so if you can get your other hand the other side to push against that will help a lot
failing that, maybe your best option is to ditch and replace

Remove the fan, put in position and mark the 4 holes, carefully drill out the holes.

If the fan itself is noisy then get a new quiet fan, what size is it? What size will it take?
