Hey thanks for the link. I found it interesting how some of the settings
had little or no effect and others seemed to make a big difference, and
which ones of course.

Strange how the high-end card (Radeon 9800 XT) got significantly
_higher_ frame rates when turning foliage and Trilinear Filtering and
such _on_ in 1280x1024.
I found that the following made the biggest difference (from a
baseline of everything maxed out, where I got about 15.5 FPS):
Projectors Off (23.6fps)
Character Shadows None (21.1fps)
World Detail Low (16.8fps)
Decals Off (16.5fps)
This is a P4-2.8/800 with 1G dual-channel memory, Radeon 9800 Pro 256M
card. With everything above combined I got 37.6 FPS.
