I really dont understand this. Its said everywhere that Intel doesnt support usb 3.0. Then how come ALL Intel motherboards have usb 3.0 ports? They are available in both mobos manufactured by Intel as well as other mobos manufactured by Asus, Gigabyte, MSI, etc...

Can someone please explain to me whats is going on...I bet there is a logical explanation to this mess

Solution
The USB 3.0 is not 'NATIVE' to the Intel Chipset 'yet' so hence Intel doesn't support USB 3.0. For example, try Flashing with a USB 3.0 flash drive or use a USB 3.0 keyboard/mouse in the BIOS -- it won't work, and the USB 3.0 is nonfunctional until the OS loads the USB 3.0 chipset {e.g. NEC} drivers.

edit: See this link, note the differences in the Panther Point {Z77, Z75, H77, etc} - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Intel_chipsets#5.2F6.2F7_Series_chipsets
