OK...
After being up all night working on computers... I stupidly didnt pull the plug out and release the held charge in the system before either unplugging or plugging in.
Over the years, as i am constantly working with computers, ive done this about 3 or 4 times (still got the drives)
My questions are... When you plug the lead in/out and theres charge left in the machine;
Which componants of the hdd are damaged?
Can i fix it? even if i have to go to the extent of soldering (yes i do realise how much of pain this is).
i will add the make and models and pics if nessicary.
Many thanks
