How to test a video card

Hello,
Is there a way to see if a video card is working outside of the obvious? I put it in my system amnd my monitor says "no signal". I'm not getting anything from my computer on the screen. Thanks.

Switch the monitor, if it isn't too obvious, other than that, I don't really know..

you could also put it in another system if you have one, it maybe be a mobo problem

but besides the monitor and mobo it could most likely be your power supply

list the rest of your specs especially your video card and psu models
