SO i built this system about a week ago. Everything was working fine until i tried to install Ubuntu onto my HDD via the windows installer. Since then the computer has been BSOD'ing when it tried to boot windows. I've tried loading from windows install disk with the same result.

I've gotten the error Bad_pool_header

And also the STOP: message STOP: 0x0000007e(0xffffffffC000005, 0xFFFFF8000C3A456D, 0xFFFFF880009A88F8, 0xFFFFF880009A8150)

Running intel i5 760
Asus p7p55 E-Pro
4gb OCZ reaper RAM
gigabyte gtx 460
G.skill phoenix 60 gb SSD

This is incredibly frustrating any help would be appreciated thanks!

Windows 7 64 bit. I pulled the cmos jumper and that got it working again for a little while but this morning it started the problem again. It won't allow me to go into safe mode or boot from the windows install disk. Windows memory diagnostic tool came back with no errors but i still think it could be a memory issue.

I managed to get it going again and installed a clean copy of windows. I'm hoping the faulty Ubuntu install corrupted my chipset drivers and it's not a real hardware issue. Seems to be running stable again. Definitely going to avoid ubuntu via the windows installer in the future.

Probably a good idea. Ubuntu was trying to take over your computer and then the world!

Turns out i have bad RAM. OCZ is RMAing this. Funny thing is though each DIMM will test fine individually in each slot but when they are paired i get all kinds of errors starting right away.
