Ga-8n-sli motherboard

Hello,I was having problems with my computer and noticed my northbridge cooled partly detatched from the board. The chip seems to have overheated and now my computer will not boot. It there anything that can be done to salvage the motherboard?

  1. Do you still have any warrenty left on the mother board ? If not then if the chip is fried it would have to be replaced and that is not something that is easily done , I think it is soldered onto the mother board and you would have to find a repair place that would do that if there is no warrenty. It would also be worth a shot to call Gigagyte to see if they could do something.
