Hey,

I recently had a hard drive fail. And I need to replace it. This is the HDD that was in it previously: [NCIX](http://ncix.com/products/?sku=22979) / [Newegg]( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136074) / [Tigerdirect](http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3179250). It is a WD3200AKS WD Caviar SE16. I can get you more of the information on the drive if needed.

I'm using it with a Gigabyte P35-DS3L motherboard. The computer will only be used for surfing the internet. It doesn't need to be top of the line

My questions:

1. What SATA would I be able to use with that motherboard? It looks like I might be limited to SATA 1 or SATA 2. I imagine I could use a SATA 3 HDD if I wanted, but I'm not too keen on spending more than I have to.

2. What hard drive would you suggest?

Thank you.
