XFX 4890 won't align with screwholes in case.

Hey, I just got my motherboard back from RMA and I put everything back into my Antec 300 case. Then I'm trying to put my XFX 4890 (HD-489X-ZSFC) but it won't align with the screw holes in back of the case. Not only that, but when I turn it on, the graphics card won't display any picture unless I apply a little pressure to the back area of the card. I've been trying to get through to XFX support with a ticket but they haven't responded in two days, but would this be accepted for RMA?

Do you have a camera if so can you make pictures and upload them. If you don't you will have to hunt for help that can take you some time.

It sounds like the motherboard is out of alignment. Your motherboard can often move up to nearly 3/8" and can cause problems. You may only need to loosen the screws up and shift it in the apropriate direction.

I can't take pictures right now, but I will be able to in a few hours. As for motherboard alignment, I'm sure my motherboard is aligned correctly, tried it re-aligning it, nothing doing for the GPU alignment.

When you can check the tab on the pci-e slot that the card is installed in. It could be broken if the rear of the card is coming out.
