$400 Gaming System

I want to build the PC featured in Toms article Build a $400 gaming PC, Sadly the components add up to $534.76 over the pond.

I was wondering if anyone could suggest a cheaper alternative using parts from my local store Microdirect in Manchester.

If the recession is that deep I would focus more on food and water and maybe a gun. A computer is trivial compared to surviving a biting deep recession.

HI, I was trying to keep it around 250 pounds which is about $400 as per the article. Its just that some componants are ejther unavailable here or really expensive.
And as a newbie I havent the knowledge yet to compare other options.

since you already have the case, i suggest you dont buy that case and psu combo and instead get a decent power supply.
