Acer V243H video display hardware

Have just bought a HP s5307uk desktop, with intel G41 4500 graphics card.
Cannot get it to display on the 24inc acer, no problems on my old 19inc, and the 24inc monitor works fine on old comp.
Have had 2 different HP tech services in South Africa, one said will not display on bigger than 22inc and other one said will display on any size monitor.
Both the seller Crescent Electronics & HP are passing the buck and saying because it has been swithched on and have tried ajusting the specs to get it working, that it is second hand and wont except return. Can anybody tell me if this model will display on a 24inc.

I think it should. There's no limit to the display size. But the quality matters. Could be the monitor. Check the monitor on some other PC and with a different cord on yours.

I think he said he used it on another computer and it worked.

Can you turn on the mointor and adust settings in it?

Did say it worked on my old 19inc, but have just received info from HP stating the model will work on any size monitor but would have to download drivers for this PC HPs5307uk from Acer website for this monitor to display. Looking at there website they say that they do no update drivers, any idears,

Was told to press F8 then highlight auro resolution 600x400 save but still no display
