I've got a 750W Corsair psu, and am thinking of throwing in a 260 for phsyx, as i may be able to pick one cheapish.

Do you think my current psu would cut the mustard? If not i may consider cheaper Nvidia cards.

I also have an overclocked i7 @ 3.8.....

what do you think?

system:
asus p6td deluxe
asus 5970
xonar d2x sound card
corsair dominators 6GB RAM
corsair 750W TX psu
i7 920 @ 3.8

A GTX260 needs about 12 amps.
A 5970 needs about 20 - 22 amps
An i7-900 needs about 12 amps.

That's about 46 amps for the largest power users. That leaves about 200 watts for everything else.

I'd prefer more in reserve, but the 750TX should power your system.

nVidia drivers used to turn off Physx support on their cards when paired with a no-nVidia video cards. Are you planning on using some type of forceware to do it?

I think that there were some cracked drivers or something out on the net...
