Gaming rig psu recommendations

Hello,I am building a gaming rig and I am currently stuck on the size PSU that I will require. I am thinking 850w. The future rig is below....

i7 930

ASUS P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X58

2 Crossife linked XFX HD-585X-ZAFC Radeon HD 5850 1GB

x2 Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB

CORSAIR XMS3 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM



Blue ray player, dvd read/write,sound card unknown brand at this time.

A quality 750W will work fine, but there's nothing wrong with using the larger one if you like. You'll find a list of all the best ones linked from the guide.

Proximon's link is a great link. What is your price range for your PSU? I would recommend going with either SeaSonic, Corsair or XFX for your PSU.

CPU: I would go with the Intel Core i7-950 for a little more money.

Hard Drive: I would recommend going with the Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB instead.

RAM: I would look at the G.SKILL PI Series 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1600 memory. It is a great set for the price!!
