New Computer

Im been looking for sometime now for a new computer to replace my old desktop. I done research on the different hardware out there. But was wondering what about a laptop. Ive had one before my desktop and really like the portability aspect. Since im still in school it like ability of doing homework just about anywhere and being able to game just about anywhere. But my only worry is that a laptop will not be able to match up it power/speed of a good desktop which i know is always true but was wondering if there was a laptop that would have the power to come close to a higher end desktop and what is the best hardware for laptops right now ie. processor, graphics card etc.

5730 is not the best GPU, but it will play most games at least on medium settings.
