Midtown Madness Problems

Hello, whenever I am running the game Midtown Madness (1st part), at some point or the other the PC gets
stuck and I'll have to restart the system to run it again. Caps, Scroll& Number Locks don't work. Even Alt+Ctrl+Delete does not work. How shall i get this solved?

This is such an old game that support for it has long since evaporated even from the community. It was one of my favorite games back in the day but when i last tried to run it on windows 7 with an nvidia graphics card setup i had many difficulties that could not be resolved. Are you trying to run this on a modern system or do you have a classic box with hardware of the generation? This makes all the difference.
