hey I just spent $75 for this external battery charger seen here for my acer aspire one A150 8.9" netbook http://jcbarn.com/3031006.html cuz my charger pin is totally bent and I thought this would be a less expensive, less painful idea than opening up the comp and soldering a new pin (I have never used a soldering iron in my life), or buying a new netbook, which is on my to do list but I am too broke right now.

It doesn't seem to fit my battery. It fits very loosely, the red light goes on for a sec to indicate charging, but if you want the red light to stay on, constant manipulation of the connection is required. if looked at from one angle, it appears that the pins on the charging cord are too long for the battery, i.e. they are not flush with the batter when pushed in all the way. Yet, everything on the page says my acer netbook battery is compatible with this charger.

the only possible problem I have noticed, is it appears a lot of the acer 3-cell batteries are 2200mah but for some reason mine reads 2900mah. there is only one site that sells this charger that specifies that there is a difference in the connector based on whether u have a 2200mah or non-2200mah battery. that site is this one http://mlcomp.com/external-battery-...ire-one-rating-111v-laptop-battery-p-711.html

I will post pictures soon, but can anyone tell me what might be wrong here?....I am so at a loss.....I waited nearly a month for this thing to come and I am so bummed right now.

nope its this one......http://www.amazon.com/External-Battery-Charger-Aspire-Laptop/dp/B0037G6FH6

it doesn't plug into the notebook it plugs into the battery itself....

I emailed the company and told them that it had the right number of pins, it was just so loose it never stayed in right. they sent me an email asking for the model number of the battery and voltage details, and then sent me a return authorization number and told me where to send it......if they screw me I will escalate my claim with paypal and get my money back

this is the exact site I bought it from:

we will see how it goes
