I dont think you would need anything more than this...

X4 640 + GIGABYTE GA-770T-USB3 AM3 - A good Quad core which would be good for folding as well as gaming...

Im assuming if your going to have a crossfire solution in the future your going to upgrade your monitor because 1400x900 a GTS250 will be able to max out.
