Any recommendations for better performance without adding costs, or better costs without loosing performance will be greatly appreciated.
I am most concerned with if and what video card I will need. It will only be used for video playback, NO GAMING.
Approximate Purchase Date: ~1 week
Budget Range: $1000 max, hopefully less
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Video editing, mostly with Adobe Premiere
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg.com unless there are significant savings
Country of Origin: US
Overclocking: Probably not
SLI or Crossfire: No
Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050
Here is what I put together:
CPU - $265.99 (to me the next best processor is the i7-860 for ~$15 more, but a goob MB to go with it would add another $50-$100, plus none of the 1156 socket MB’s have integrated graphics, so another ~$75-$200, and for video encoding Toms says it is only ~2-3 percent faster????)
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor HDT90ZFBGRBOX http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Video Card - ???
Do I really need one, or will the integrated graphics work out? I want to try without, then add on in 3-6 months if I need to. Unless someone knows that I will wish I had this immediately for my purposes (video editing).
Considering I plan to do exactly zero gaming, I am having a hard time finding recommendations. They all lean towards gaming, which requires a large amount of the budget to go to graphics cards. The integrated will play video perfectly, right?
