Your question

What is a good ~250 gb ssd for my laptop?

January 20, 2013 4:16:16 AM

i will be buying a lenovo y580 soon, and would like to replace the slow 5400rpm HDD with a much faster SSD. I'm not exactly a pro when it comes to SSDs, but here are a couple that i have read some good things about i guess

My questions/concerns:

-some people mentioned the 840 using some TLC nand and not being reliable ?
-what is difference with 2 mushkin ssds, and is it worth the extra $$$
-what are your thoughts on the crucial m4, heard really good things about it
-is it true u should only fill an SSD 80% or it will slow down?
-which one of these SSDs is "the best" or would you suggest something different in the ~250gb range
-i will b using the ssd i choose to buy as the sole drive for my laptop, will ~250 gb be enough for the OS ( how much it needs? ) some games . . . and so on?

also here is the link to laptop i will b buying ( the one all the wa on the left):
