Is my Gigabyte GA-P55-US3L mobo compatible with my gtx 460?

Using a single geforce card and a 600w PSU. Fans spin on boot and then continually restarts...(i5 2.66ghz, 4gb ddr3).

I've read the mobo doesnt support the card because of the two different pci-e slots but I'm only running one card. Machine boots fine without the 460 and fine with an older 'slot powered' card. Is the card a dud? Do need another mobo (as I got this one at a song THAT would suck!)? AND my monitor is a standard 1050 res so all i really need is a directx 11 geforce that will smash games at that res! Hell my laptop only has a GT 9600m 512mb and that running Crysis, MOH and Black Ops!

Help me!

My first reply! Thankyou! Are we talking about taking the battery out for a few hours?? It a new build, although the mobo is refurbished. I'll give that a try tonight. If anyone else has any thoughts though please keep em coming!!

I'm having the 460 tested today so will know if that has to go back tonight!

Thanks again!
