Hello,
As I was installing my fresh windows XP copy, I tryed to split my hard disk.So I formated and made a seperate particion, But after installing a fresh copy of XP the particion is gone, now I have only one particion and its the smaller one. Another half of the disk C is gone. When I go to C disk PROPERTYES, and click on Volumes it shows capacity 38GB, but 23GB is unlocated. Any advices how to recover my hard disk space? I have made many instalacions before but this is a first time for me.

Go into Control Panel > Computer Management > Disk Management

In the bottom-right panel, find the horizontal ribbon which represents that hard drive.
Right-click on the "Unallocated Space" and choose "Create New Simple Volume".
When the volume has been created, right-click that volume and choose "Format"

When formatting is complete, you should see a new drive letter in your "Computer" window.
You can use that new partition to save your data to, or to install applications on.
