Hi,

I've bought a Akoya E1228 with a Pegatron H90MB motherboard (apparently same as Akoya 1226), with 1 Gb DDR3 SDRAM. According to the helpdesk from Medion 2 Gb should work, but which type they could't tell (shame...!).
A Transcend 2G DDR3 1333 SODIMM CL9 doesn't work: the netbook is practically dead. With the original 1 Gb all's right again. Surfing the internet hasn't had results for me, not with Akoya, neither with Pegatron.
Anyone an idea how to find out which module fits?

Thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for helping. This is what I have now:

Type: DDR3
Size: 9208
Channels#: Triple
NB Frequency: 2133.4 MHz
DRAM Freq.: 533,3 MHz
CL 7.0

Sorry, wrong figures, other pc. It should be:

Found by CPU-Z on the tab SPD:
Manufacturer: Hyundai/ Hynix Part# HMT312S6BFR6C-H9
DDR3, 1024 MB, PC3-10700 (667 MHz).

I'm not much of an expert, but where would I find the 7-7-7 timings?

Never mind that its almost certainly 9-9-9 timings for DDR3 1333 (aka PC3-10700 aka 667MHz). You should just need a 2GB stick with the same performance info.

Go to newegg and get a 2GB SO-DIMM that runs at 1333MHz and has 9-9-9-24 latency timings and it should work. I can't say why that Transcend stick didn't work since it has matching specs to what you just gave me. Does that Transcend stick work in any other computer? if not then it's just gone bad.

Hi,
thanks again for the assistence.

in the BIOS of the Akoya (AMI v02.67) hardly any information is shown. Only the size of the memory, so the latency timings aren't available there.
With PCWizard I found this information:

Supported Frequencies : 381MHz, 457MHz, 533MHz, 610MHz, 686MHz
CAS Latency (tCL) : 5 clocks @ 381MHz, 6 clocks @ 457MHz, 7 clocks @ 533MHz, 8 clocks @ 610MHz, 9 clocks @ 686MHz
RAS to CAS (tRCD) : 5 clocks @ 381MHz, 6 clocks @ 457MHz, 7 clocks @ 533MHz, 8 clocks @ 610MHz, 9 clocks @ 686MHz
RAS Precharge (tRP) : 5 clocks @ 381MHz, 6 clocks @ 457MHz, 7 clocks @ 533MHz, 8 clocks @ 610MHz, 9 clocks @ 686MHz
Cycle Time (tRAS) : 14 clocks @ 381MHz, 17 clocks @ 457MHz, 20 clocks @ 533MHz, 22 clocks @ 610MHz, 25 clocks @ 686MHz
Min TRC : 19 clocks @ 381MHz, 23 clocks @ 457MHz, 27 clocks @ 533MHz, 30 clocks @ 610MHz, 34 clocks @ 686MHz
Any use?

At Newegg there's really a lot of choice for the specs you gave. I found a dealer with a stick aspecially for this netbook, but I can't find the specs anywhere. I've send an email, hope to find it out.

BTW: The place where I found the stick is pczocker.de/memory-solution-medion-akoya-e1228-98720-netbook-p-1084752-1.html?sessID=8kro58elqsr53o4aqche5ii932ma1u12

Finally, I found the right stick and already in working order. It's a Transcend 2GB MEMORY MODULE STD 204P DDR3 1333 SO-DIMM (256Mx64)(256Mx8/9-9-9),. The shop I ordered the first two, send this one after exchanging some info by telephone.

Thanks for helping!
