While I'm at a friends house my monitor will go to stand-by but my computer will still be on, the monitor doesn't report "no signal" and this happens regardless of which power source it is plugged into.

I can't tell if it is a power issue or not, but it happens quite quickly and it isn't a heating problem (as I watch my temperatures and they are as low as the idle I report at my house) I'm currently on my PC typing this, so I can't figure it out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stand by has already been disabled but my power mode is on High Performance.

The problem has yet to arise today after my original post, but it seems to occur when left idle when first turned on.

Well don't ask how but we figured out that a vibration will shut it down...

So if someone jumps or steps heavily near my case it will restart, I checked for loose connections there wasn't any.
