Guys ,,,, I need a bit of help in choosing the right motherboard.........I am confused between the ASUS P8Z68-v PRO and Asus P8Z68 Deluxe....I googled a lot for a good comparison between both the boards but did not find anything useful...there are a lot of reviews about the P8Z68-V pro...and they all seem to appreciate it ...where as I was not able to get a lot about the p8z68 deluxe.....My use with my PC is gaming...so please help me decide.....The differences I have noticed between the boards is that the PRO one has onboard ports for VGA,DVI and HDMI where as the Deluxe one does not.....but on the other hand the Deluxe board has a power e-sata port and COMOS switch on the back...Similarly there are some other small differences between the two boards like dual ethernet ports on the deluxe and different Realtek codec etc....................One other thing is that .....could somebody explain to me the difference in the 16 phase DIGI + VRM on the two boards.....I mean I know what this technology is ...and what it does but what confuses me is that if you go on asus's website and see the PRO board at the end of the page,,It says 16 digital power phase with a asterisk sign saying on the bottom 12 phase for CPU and 4 phase for IGPU ....whereas if you go in the specification tab on BOTH the boards ....It says the same thing for both boards even though the DELUXE one does not even have a on board gpu ...but in case for the PRO board it is specifically mentioned on the bottom.........HOw does this affect the performance on both the boards.....and which one is better for gaming ??????.......
...Sorry if I have lousy English....

This is more a 'Doodads' choice than which is better. For 'most' folks the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO is the better choice. The P8Z68 DELUXE adds: USB 3.0 Ft Panel box for your case, Marvell 9128 {370MB/s~380MB/s due to x1 lane} which are considerably slower than the Intel SATA3 ports but they're there, Dual LAN {use the Intel} which is good for hosting a LAN Party, 2 more USB 2.0, etc; See side-by-side -> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007627%2050001315%20600093976&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&CompareItemList=280|13-131-753^13-131-753-TS%2C13-131-730^13-131-730-TS

This 'extra stuff' sounds nice but often slows down anything on the PCIe due to sharing. The Important Phase power are identical.

The 1 x DVI, 1 x D-Sub, 1 x...
If you're not going to use the extra ports that the DELUXE offers then go with the V PRO.

The DELUXE does give you access to the iGPU that resides in the CPU through LucidLogix Virtu's d-Mode. The reason the DELUXE doesn't have any video ports on the motherboard is because the iGPU is never the primary GPU. The DELUXE requires that you must use at least one discrete graphics card.

The 1 x DVI, 1 x D-Sub, 1 x HDMI can be nice if you GPU goes poof so you can post.

Pure Gaming: Less 'Swiss Army' = better peripheral performance.

My Z68 2-WAY SLI/CF favorites for the money, OC, and gaming: ASUS P8Z68-V PRO and Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD5.

For gaming, the pro gives you all the options that you will need. The Deluxe IMO is a Pro with bells and whistles added, so unless you specifically need dual lan's I'd save the few pennies and go with the pro.

I got the Asus P8Z68-V Pro and that has been brilliant to date.
