Hello,
i got an Acer Aspire M1641. The main board (MCP73VE) has an on board NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / NVIDIA nForce 620i and it came to me with a GeForce9200 plugged in the PCI-E. The first 2 years it worked fine with the 9200 but now works only with the on board one. There's no choice (PEG/on board) at the BIOS and I've also tried another NVIDIA PCI-E VGA card without success. By the way the 9200 works at another PC.
Any suggestions?

Hello,

I have the same Acer Aspire M1641 desktop, and have suffered the same problem with the PCI-E slot, which has an ATI Radeon HD 3450 in it. worked fine for 18 months, then a month or so of "problems" (whereby turning the PC on and off would effectively turn of the PCI-E slot) and now it does not work at all. I have tried the Radeon card in another desktop and it works. I tried another Radeon Card in my PCI-E and it does not work.

Suggestions please>...?!?! 🙁

Already did it, but each time I reboot, I get signal only from the on-board. On the device manager I see no other VGA card (even as an unrecognized device) except the on board one. As I mentioned before the PCI-E VGAs are ignored from the very beginning, even BIOS doesn't recognize any other VGA controller except the on board one.
