I have a 1.5TB caviar green external HDD that; spins ups, lights up, shows up in device manager as a disk drive but not disk management or "My Computer" at all as it use too.
So far it's installed itself as "WD" and only shows up as "External HDD" in devices. I cannot eject it, I can enable/disable it, I can uninstall it. Does the same thing to every computer I plug it into.
It's like I said not showing up in disk management whatsoever not my computer. Here are something's I've tried; Taking it out of its cradle and plugging it via SATA but that just freezes the computer (sometimes blue screens) when I reboot it with it plugged in it refuses to bring up the log in screen till I unplug it.
It also has not drive letter assigned to it as well from what I can tell? Any help would be welcome, Jack.

When I look for volumes in properties, I don't see any volumes and it asks me to populate?
