Gateway sx2850-1 hdmi audio issues

Hello,

The audio works fine through the hdmi and testing it playing movies I can play 3-4 movies to test it and then all of a sudden I start a new movie and the system has no sound at all. The audio and video is running to the tv using hdmi. Any idea why the audio stops working? Rebooting fixes it but then it will cut out again after testing it watching movies.

Wanted to add it is running Windows 7 home premium 64bit if that helps. I also thought it was a codec issue. But I installed the lastest CCCP codec pack and that didn't solve the problem. The audio is Realtek HD.

If anybody needs anymore info please let me know.
