Upgrading to DDR3, should i do it?

I am thinking about upgrading to a DDR3 platform, and my current motherboard and ram is as follows:

What i want to know is if there will be a substantial/noticeable increase in speed/performance. I use this for gaming, schoolwork, and watching music and movies. the rest of my build:

Phenom II x4 3.2ghz BE
XFX Radeon HD 4850 1gb
640GB SATA WD caviar blue
LG DVD burner
NZXT Guardian 921 Case

no point really. if you already have a motherboard and ddr2 ram you will barely notice the difference with ddr3. if your running 64 bit windows you may notice benefits from MORE ram, like shorter loading times, less stutter in games.
