Hello. I just installed a new hard drive on my Linux computer. I'm running Ubuntu Studio 12.04 with the Xfce desktop environment.

I did some research yesterday on how to set up the drive, but now I am stuck and would like some help getting to be able to write to the hard drive.
So yesterday I set up the hard drive, partitioned it into one partition (because I only intend to use this for Linux).

The part I'm on now is setting up the home directory, mounting the new drive (sdb1) to the home directory, and accessing permissions to the disk. I started it yesterday, but ran into some problems and went to bed. What I did, was create a folder in the terminal:

sudo mkdir videos

Then I mounted it.

sudo mount /dev/sdb1 /home/curtis/videos

It mounted it, I see the file there in the system file place. But when I try to go into it, or save a file to it, I encounter this error:
"You do not have the permissions necessary to view the contents of "lost+found"."

I'm stuck here. I'm hoping that someone here can help me.
Thank you for answering.
