Hi guys, I am planning to set up Raid 0 and was wondering between the two: Seagate Barracuda 2TB STBD2000101 or WD Caviar Black 1TB WDBAAZ0010HNC

I just want something that's reliable and fast.

I can't find any professional reviews on the Seagate.

Unless Seagate has shorter warrantiy, I would go with it - being 11% more expansive, provides for twice the capacity, cache and interface speed.

Why are you doing RAID 0? Be sure to back up your drives, because if crap hits the fan, you are SOL in recovering your data.

Aaaargh!!!! Went to best Buy to get the Barracuda's hopefully to get them at the price I mentioned, but the store was no longer accepting the $50 off $100 purchase coupons.

Well I did walk away with the Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4x 4GB) DDR3 1600 for $45 and will keep the WD's 1TB each which i got for $53 each retail box.

It's ok, I may have missed out on the 2TB Raid 0 config for $120, but by the time I fill these 1TB up with photos, I'll just snag a pair of 3TB beasties by then.

Not sure if you guys knew about this but:
