Hey All

Planning to build a computer soon but since I'm on a budget I'm trying to cut costs wherever I can.

I was wondering if

[/strike]

This power supply, will be enough to power the computer I plan to build

I'm going to post the video card, cpu, mobo, and case. If there's any other hardware I should post just ask below.

Update: Decided to go with this video card instead since it came in a package with a better power supply

Update: Decided to go with this CPU

it's cheaper but as pointed out below, the other cpu i was going to get was not compatible with my mobo.

For the future, how can I check this myself?

Thanks all.

No. Terrible efficiency, low wattage, no PCI express connector (if you need it for the 250?)

But yeah, don't get that. And also, are you absolutely positive that that AM3 board will accept the AM2+ Phenom processor. It only lists being compatible with Phenom II, Athlon IIs. And I know there are AM3/AM2+ boards.

What's your overall budget and what's your use for this system?

Oh wow how were you able to tell so much.

And thanks for saving me, yea this AM3 mobo isn't compatible with the AM2+ cpu. Do you recomend I switch the CPU or Motherboard?

Im going to be using this rig almost exclusively for playing stracraft 2 and my budget (very low, I know) is 500 dollars give or take thirty maybe.

In the photos you can see that there is no plug for the video card
also in the photos you can see the sticker 12V * 15A = 180watts

+3.3V@28A, +5V@30A, +12V@15A, -5VSB@0.3A, -12V@0.8A, +5VSB@2A
efficiency = > = 65%

Much Better (Keeping a budget in mind) = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152039
cheap with at least decent numbers http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817170017

PS. You shouldn't go cheap on a power supply. It is the life support.
Still around $50 = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371029
