Intel i9 release date

From looking all around the internet, it seemed to me that Intel was going to change the "i7 EXTREME" to the i9--- With an LGA 1366 form-factor.

I'm still going to wait a while (3 or 4th QTR) before buying it!

I KNOW as soon as I buy it, a NEW CPU will emerge! I LOVE INTEL!!! (And hate them at the same time)

People just assumed that adding 2 extra cores would motivate intel to call it i9, but in fact Intel kept the i7 prefix when it released the i7-980X, later they also release the i7-970, also a 6 cores CPU.

A new CPU has already emerged ;)  It's the new Sandy Bridge line which may be worth you looking into before buying anything new.

there is in fact an i9 cpu unfortunately its only available to intel workers but if you know someone who works there they might be able to get you one my frined has one that he is going to install in a new rig he's building and I saw it in person so I know its real
